Yesterday I was able to start running the tree detection algorithm over the captured field data. The first image is from the forest, the second is from a test in the office where I accidentally scanned myself.

The objective was to get some data to analyse the performance of the new sensing rig. Using the LiDAR we detect trees in the environment. Understanding the limitations with respect to ground cover and tree structure is important for the machine.
